Building Panic

Building Panic is a 2D fixed-screen action game inspired by the rules of the board game Othello. The player controls the master workman Yamada or his female companion and competes against rival workers by covering a skyscraper with wallpaper.

Each level contains 32 windows. The player places wallpaper in blue, or green when playing as the female character, while the competition uses orange. Rivals can be defeated either by firing projectiles or by physically bumping into them, causing them to fall off the screen.

As in Othello, wallpapers can change color when they are trapped between two opposing wallpapers along a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line.
