Caer Shiraz
Description
Caer Shiraz is a simple 2D top-down flip-screen dungeon crawler. You start the game in a shop, where you may purchase arms and armour. Leaving the shop brings you to the rooms of the castle, which are rectangular, have four exits in the cardinal directions, and one of only two configurations of walls. You move slowly but constantly about the screen, but can change the direction of motion. Leaving a screen will take you to the next, and may trigger a trap. The door you enter the room from will be locked behind you. Eventually, an exit will appear offering you a way back to the shop.
Some rooms contain monsters which try to pursue you. You can fight them by pressing the attack key. Your damage to them, and their's to you will be affected by your weapon and armour. Killing a monster will occasionally yield a treasure, which may be a weapon upgrade, treasure, or a healing elixir. Being killed by the monster will result in the loss of accumulated experience and treasure, but you will keep your armour and weapons. There does not appear to be an ultimate goal apart from earning the best weapons and armour.
