Canfield
Description
Canfield is a terminal implementation of Canfield solitaire. Per the original, cards are organized into four locations. In this version, they are labelled as foundation, tableau, stock and talon. The objective is to move all cards into the foundation. Cards in the foundation start at a given rank (e.g. 7) and that must match the first card placed in each position. Cards must then match suite and increase by rank (e.g. 8 on top of 7), wrapping around if needed.
The tableau is the work area, where cards can be stacked and shifted as needed to expose cards for play. Here, cards decrease in rank, using alternating colours (e.g. red 9 on black 10). The stock is a stack of cards, of which only the top card can be played at any given time. The remaining cards in the stock are inaccessible until exposed. Finally, the talon is the currently active card, and can be cycled through based on the hand in play. Like other solitaire games, the talon is cycled three cards at a time, though only one is visible in this version of the game.
This game can also follow casino betting rules, which charges for hands cycled, initial inspection and a few other things, while crediting cards placed. This information can be ignored if just playing the game for fun, however.
