Caucasus: Nanatsuki no Nie is a Japanese murder mystery adult visual novel set in the remote village of Nanatsuki, located deep within the mountains of the Tohoku region. The story follows two university students from Tokyo, who, intrigued by a local legend, decide to investigate the area. When a sudden blizzard strikes, they are rescued by Benio, the second daughter of the Nanatsuki family, and brought to Shichitsuki-kan, an imposing mansion owned by her wealthy and influential family. As the students settle in, they learn that the Nanatsuki family is preparing for a mysterious wedding ritual, where the bride must spend the night in a coffin. The wedding is considered successful only if no harm befalls the bride by dawn. However, the ritual is abruptly interrupted by a sinister force, casting suspicion on the ten attendees and the two outsiders.
The gameplay revolves around exploration and decision-making. Players navigate the mansion through a combination of map movement and dialogue-driven choices, with multiple branching paths leading to various outcomes. The game features a protagonist with a defined face and personality, but the player can also name the character.
