Chainsaw Maniac

Chainsaw Maniac is a small game released to promote the PlayStation 2 release of Resident Evil 4.

The game reimagines the first chapter of Resident Evil 4 as a Game & Watch LCD game. Leon finds himself in a village full of chainsaw wielding maniacs, and must survive for as long as possible.

Leon can kill the maniacs by simply positioning himself in front of them, but killing one will use up one of his few remaining knives. When out of knives they can be restocked at either side of the screen. If a maniac manages to reach the bottom of the screen a life is lost.

The game's speed and difficulty increases gradually over time.
