Chess 3D
Description
Chess 3D is an online adaptation of the original board game, played on a typical 8x8 checkered board. The players see the board from a 3D perspective and can switch between different angles. Additionally, a 2D top-down view is also available. The game can be played both against the computer or a human opponent.
The game follows regular chess rules. Two players, white and black, control 16 pieces each, divided into multiple types: king, queen, rook, bishop, knight and pawn. Every type has its own way of moving across the board. The king can only move by one square in any direction; the queen can move in any direction for as much as the player wants; the rook moves either horizontally or vertically, while the bishop goes diagonally; the pawn can move either two squares forward from its initial position or by a single square in all the other cases; the knight can leap over another piece and always makes a L-shaped move. Any enemy piece found in the way can be captured and removed from the board. In order to win, the players must come up with a strategy to trap the opponent's king and do a check mate.
