Chess
Description
Chess allows to play the board game against a computer or against another human player. It is based on the developer's own chess AI engine, "Treebeard".
The game offers numerous options, such as: a variety of graphical themes for the pieces and the board, activate a time limit for a move or for the entire game, play with a handicap (remove one white piece), and 12 levels of difficulty for the computer opponent. There are two play modes, Casual and Pro; Casual offers a number of features that make the game easier for beginners, such as the option to show pieces that are in danger and unprotected, a "chess tutor" which recommends which piece to move, or a "show CPU thinking" option which shows what moves the AI is considering. The game keeps tracks of past game results.
The game comes in both a paid version, and an ad-supported free version.
