Chimaera

Chimaera is a text adventure inspired by Adventure. The game opens on a grassy plain, with the primary objective being exploration and treasure discovery. Players interact with the game via a command parser that accepts only two-word inputs, such as verb-noun combinations. In addition to exploration, gameplay centers on solving puzzles through the collection and use of items.

A distinctive feature of Chimaera is its use of procedural generation. Prior to starting, players select a number between 0 and 10, which determines the initial starting location. The game world - including terrain and object placement - is then dynamically generated based on this input and the player's early movements. Although the puzzles and items themselves remain fixed, their positions within the game world are randomized and may change loading saved games.
