Choice of the Pirate

Fresh from a term of service beneath the cruel Captain Blackguard, this game puts the player at the helm of their own pirate ship, preying on merchant ships of the Lucayan Sea from the buccaneer's den of San Alfonso. With constant companions first mate Caesar Lord and Tinima the cambiante -- an indigenous weather witch tapping into natural forces (cambiar) for a competitive edge on the high seas -- the player will vie against naval vessels of the Crown, up-and-coming freebooters such as Pirate King aspirant Anne Read, and supernatural and mysterious creatures from the briny depths of Davy Jones' Coffin, all in an attempt to intercept some doubloons while living a life of uncompromised freedom.Freedom is truly the word for it -- in this idealized nautical setting, an array of gender expressions and sexual preferences are accommodated, exemplifying the game's offerings of diverse and varied approaches to success, depending on players' preference of approach: combat, magic, trickery, seamanship or diplomacy: here they are all viable paths to untold riches and glory!
