Chop Sushi!

Chop Sushi! is a puzzle-based match-3 game. It combines touchscreen mechanics with anime-inspired graphics and narrative elements. Players use finger gestures to simulate chopsticks and move sushi-themed items across a grid to form matching sets of three or more.

At its core, Chop Sushi! challenges players to strategically rearrange items on a grid to form match-three combinations. Using the touchscreen interface, players pick up sushi pieces with virtual chopsticks and move them to the end of a row or column. Each move must result in a valid match; if no moves are available, the game introduces new pieces by cracking open stones on the board. Matching different item types, such as Wasabi or exotic sushi ingredients, results in various effects ranging from direct damage to the opponent to the activation of special power-ups and traps.

The game features three modes: Adventure, Quick Play, and Challenge. In Adventure mode, players follow a narrative journey across 15 themed islands and 40 levels, collecting secret recipes and engaging in battles that are metaphorical confrontations with opponents' personal struggles. Quick Play allows for casual sessions, while Challenge mode introduces puzzle-specific tasks, such as completing matches within a set number of moves.

The player assumes the role of Master Chef, a character stylized as a pink, anthropomorphic sushi who travels from island to island helping people overcome their inner demons. Each level presents a new opponent symbolizing some form of emotional or psychological turmoil, which the player “battles” through puzzle gameplay.
