Circa 7000: Armies of Armageddon

Description
Circa 7000: Armies of Armageddon is a turn-based wargame. The game provides a set of default scenarios and units which are science-fictional in theme. However, the game includes an editor that allows to customize the maps, armies, and weaponry.
Gameplay is structured into three phases per turn. In the movement phase, all units may move up to their maximum range. In the targeting phase, units can select attack targets. In the resolution phase, each unit's attacks are resolved. Attacks can potentially miss their intended mark and strike other units in the vicinity, including allies.
Each unit has a set number of hit points and is destroyed when these are depleted. Combat capabilities also vary: infantry troops typically carry two weapon types, but can only make a single attack per turn; heavier units, such as vehicles, often have multiple mounted weapons, allowing them to fire several times per turn. Vehicles follow specific movement rules, such as restricted turning and gradual acceleration or deceleration.
Terrain influences several aspects of combat. It can block lines of fire, reduce visibility, affect movement speed, and sometimes inflict damage to units that enter it.
After a battle, surviving units have a chance to improve by gaining accuracy, additional hit points, or resistance. Players can save these enhanced armies to disk for use in later battles.
