Class Struggle

Game cover: Class Struggle

Description

Class Struggle is a board game based upon the conflict between different social classes.

Based upon the 1978 board game of the same name, it is designed to show the conflict between Marxism and capitalism. Gameplay requires 6 players, any number of which can be made computer opponents. Each player receives a name, gender, and race, which determines the social class of each player from: farmer, worker, professional, capitalist, student, or businessman

Players move about a board, rolling two 3-sided dice. Players get to roll again if they receive doubles. At the beginning of each game, the capitalist controls all resources, while the workers possess debt. Different classes can ally with one another, with the goal of the worker class to revolt and take control of resources, while the goal of the capitalist class is to maintain control. The board displays the current rank of each class, assets, debts, and alliances which may be in effect. Special squares include nuclear war, confrontation, and chance. With each roll, market conditions change which favor or hamper different classes.
