Copter Capers
Description
Copter Capers is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.
While setting off in a helicopter to rescue survivors from a fishing boat that has broken up in heavy seas, the player finds turbulence has transported them to another time. The player is now being attacked by German submarines, zeppelins, and helicopters from another generation.
On each level, the player must fly close to the water to drop a rescue ladder to pick up fisherman lost in the sea. They must be rescued and taken one at a time to the landing platform at the left of the screen. The helicopter can drop bombs or fire straight ahead to defend from incoming enemy vessels. The player has 30 shots per level, and has limited fuel to complete each stage.
Every third level is a bonus stage where the player attempts to land on a moving platform for bonus points. The player receives an additional helicopter every 10,000 points.
