Cosmic Ambush

Cosmic Ambush is a vertically scrolling shooter, visually reminiscent of mid-eighties coin-ops. There is no backstory whatsoever, just your spacecraft taking on countless enemy vessels flying in different patterns and formations. Power-ups show up frequently and shooting one will upgrade your gun one step up. In contrast, taking a hit will degrade your firepower. You have a health bar which is depleted as you sustain damage and replenished when you fly over specific recharge fields. When your health bar is gone you lose your only life and start over.
