Create Your Own Model Railway Deluxe

Create Your Own Model Railway Deluxe is a compilation consisting of a re-issue of Create Your Own Model Railway together with the Wild West Edition.

While the Wild West Edition provides additional material; twenty vintage US locomotives; fifty goods wagons; twelve-period carriages; five sample layouts; and many, many objects which the player can use to create their own layouts, it installs as a separate product and cannot be combined with the original title.

Though their in-game music and icons are different both products have the same structure and play identically. The track is selected via a drop-down menu and is placed onto the layout with a mouse click, prior to placement the piece can be rotated via the arrow keys. The same process is used for the selection and placement of buildings and scenery objects.
When the layout is completed the terrain can be altered, the track can be raised and the game automatically builds a wooden trestle bridge structure underneath it. The terrain itself can be raised to create hills or lowered to create lakes, where hills are created the game automatically creates a tunnel and where lakes are created the game spans the water with trestle bridges.

When running the player uses the mouse to vary the power around the circuit and change the points to route the trains around different parts of the track. The game creates a menu for this in the lower left of the screen. The player can place a camera on any of the trains and follow it's a journey around the layout and they can take a snapshot in .bmp format.
