Critters

Critters is a 1-player arcade game for the VIC-20.

The player tries to protect their apples on the bottom of the screen from a bunch of flying critters who try to eat them. The player can move left or right, duck, fire straight up, or at 45 and 90 degree angles. If the player shoots a critter, they turn black and fall to the ground. Critters swoop down and attempt to grab apples, hauling them off the top of the screen. If a critter with an apple is shot, the apple falls back to the ground. When all critters in a wave are destroyed, a new wave appears with more creatures.
