Cross Virus
Description
In this puzzle game, players must stop viruses from reproducing and spreading by using blocks to trap them in. Due to the viruses multiplying during the block placement process, a bit of strategy is required in determining how to arrange blocks and in what order.
Each round, the player is given three bricks to place. The blocks turn red as they are placed until the third/final block is placed, which ends the turn. The blocks can be taken back and placed elsewhere until the last/third block is placed. After that point, you can not change your mind on the block placement. After the final block is placed, the virus spreads. It will occupy the space directly next to it so as long as there is not a block already occupying the space. After the virus finishes spreading, it becomes the player's turn and once again they are provided with three more blocks to place.
There are 25 stages available. Stages are completed once the virus to spread has been successfully halted from being able to move further. At the end of each stage, the number of squares that the virus exists on are counted up and used for a star rating. A star is awarded if the number of squares devoured by viruses is fewer than 80. If the player completes a level with a low enough virus count, they can earn up to three stars.
