Cyber Ape

Cyber Ape is an action platform game set in different locations. You control a chimp abducted from the rainforest, who was the subject of a series of cybernetic experiments which improved his abilities. One day he escaped from the laboratory to find a way home.

You must guide the Cyber Ape through forty levels split between four areas (Industrial, Urban, Desert and Jungle). You must hurry as you have a limited amount of time to complete each level before the Forces of Evil (FoE) will catch up with you once again. You will need all of your powers of skill, agility and luck to find all the keys scattered throughout the level and then rush to the exit door to get to the next one. Your hero can stun or even knock over any opponents by his supply of bananas. Bananas are dotted around the levels to refill your supply. Killing the opponents brings more trouble i.e. the time limit or bonus will be reduced.

During your journey through all four areas you will find many things to collect. The most important are keys, security cards and... rabbits. You must collect all of them to get through the exit. Other important objects are spinning bananas which give you more ammo and spinning spanners to regain your health. Other useful things are power-ups:

• Leg upgrades to walk faster
• Fist of climbing to climb faster
• Springs to jump higher
• Fast fire to fire bananas faster and further
• Hard fire to knock baddies off the platforms
• Map to see scan of the nearest area
• Dark cloak which hides Cyber Ape from FoE and makes him resistant to their touch and it stops the clock, but it works only for a limited amount of time.

You will find also some other precious collectables such as coins, rubies, and gold statuettes which will give you some extra points. On the other hand, you must watch out for acid, electric fences, spikes, toxic waste, fires, quicksand, or junk food, to list just few hazards which will drain your health.
