Cypher Bowl

Cypher Bowl is a 2 player American football game for the 8-bit Atari.

Played on a vertically scrolling field, each team has 5 players. Game play is divided into four 8-minute quarters. There are a total of 16 offensive and defensive plays each side can choose, and a number of offensive and defensive positions each team can utilize. During each play, the player controls one active character, while the computer controls the remainder of the team. Players can also try to punt or score a field goal for extra points. Closely follows the rules of American football, but does not contain kickoffs or penalties.
