D-Day: The Invasion of France

D-Day: The Invasion of France is a 1-player wargame based upon the Allied invasion of France.

This historical wargame covers the first 24 days of the Amphibious invasion of France in June 1944. The player starts gameplay by setting the 5 landing points on the beaches of France prior to the invasion. The goal is to take as many of the 57 town positions on the map as possible, with each position being worth 1 point.

Each turn takes 2 days, and the player has a total of 12 turns for their mission. The player must watch the supply and combat points for each unit. If there are not enough supply units, each landed unit loses 1 - 5 combat points per turn. The player must capture Cherbourg by the end of June, or the Germans automatically win.

The player controls Allied airborne, armored cavalry, infantry, and special service units. German forces also have panzer, infantry, airborne, assault gun, and bicycle brigades.
