Damsel

Damsel is a 1 - 4 player fantasy themed board game for the VIC-20.

Each player takes turns rolling an 8-sided dice to move through a spiral-shaped board to reach the damsel at the center. Depending on the color the player lands on, they can either roll again to move forwards or backwards, miss a turn, acquire a strength scroll, encounter a magic bridge, or encounter an enemy. Combat is random, and the player can opt to use a shield, and if defeated moves to the start of the board. At a magic bridge the player can choose to cross which leads to combat. If the player succeeds at a bridge combat they move far ahead. Victory in random combat gives the player another roll.
