Dateline 5000

Dateline 5000 is Star Trek fangame set in the distant future and the United Nations have started colonizing other worlds. The player's goal is to colonize as many planets as possible to increase the number of resources gathered to build starships and get more of the population to man the starships. The number of starships in the fleet counts as the highscore for the player. The game ends once the player's fleet is inevitably defeated by attacking Romulan or Klingon fleets, or when the fleet is destroyed attacking their colonies. There's no player engagement in combat, it's merely a number comparison. The player will win the battle if they have equal or more ships, but lose if they have fewer.
