Den' Vyborov
Description
Den' Vyborov (The Election Day) is a traditional two-dimensional point-n-click adventure game loosely based on the critically acclaimed satirical Russian motion picture of the same name, which is based on the long-running Moscow stage play performed by "Quartet I" theater. All four actors of "Quartet I" provide voices for their characters in this game. Several short live-action video sequences from the movie are shown as the story untwists.
Protagonist of the game is a new character Stepan, who has found a bottle with love letter in Volga river, while the boat "Sergey Abramov" was passing by. Joining the boat, the player should help Stepan to find the authoress of this letter and conquer her love feelings. This task is not that simple, because this boat is a propaganda platform for a new man running for governor, and the electorate in ports visited by the boat is either corrupt or influenced by a current corrupt governor.
Most of the time Stepan is wandering between static screens, collecting / using the scattered items, and talking to characters to gain more items or information. The cursor is always the same and blinks on hovering over an interactive spot. Three action mini-games should be completed to progress in the story.
