Derek Jeter Pro Baseball 2008

Derek Jeter Pro Baseball 2008 is the fourth entry in Gameloft's annual baseball game series. The game mechanics are essentially the same as in the previous year's edition and involves all the elements of the sport: pitching, batting, fielding and running. The changes that have been made are mainly graphical. For instance, the actions of catchers and runners can now be seen in their own windows. One new feature is Derek's Tips which is a number of advices and opinions from Derek Jeter that can be accessed from the main menu.

The included game modes are exhibition games, seasons, playoffs and homerun derbies (now called Derek's Derby). Like in previous games, Derek Jeter is the only licensed player. Other players are made up and teams are only named after their location. The season can be played with either 29 or 58 games and it's possible to simulate matches without playing them. Some minor management options exist with the player being able to change the team's lineup and the pitching rotation.
