Die Knickebocker-Bande 1: Das Phantom der U-Bahn is the first game in a series of point-and-click adventures for children of 7 years and older. Die Knickerbocker-Bande ("The Knickerbocker Gang") is the title of the series books for children by Austrian writer Thomas Brezina - and the name of the group of junior detectives that consists of four teenagers - Axel, Poppi, Lilo, and Dominik - who solve different mysteries. In Das Phantom der U-Bahn they have to solve five such cases: a poisoner, a disappeared programmer, a haunting in an old factory, a dangerous cargo at the airport - and finally a phantom that has supposedly been spotted in the subway.
