Dock Master
Description
Dock Master is a 1-player arcade strategy game for the TRS-80 CoCo.
Everybody is buying everything on-line! And one of the ways to keep it cheap, is to ship by sea. You work at a Chinese cargo port, making sure containers are properly loaded onto freighters waiting to ship goods.
Each freighter can carry 8 containers. Containers are placed from the crane atop the screen, and can be placed in 9 separate positions. The container is always placed in the lowest possible empty cargo slot. There are 4 different color-coded weights of containers. If too much weight is placed on the front or back of the ship, it will sink and the game is over. If a container is placed on the bridge of a ship, the ship is destroyed. A perfectly balanced ship gives bonus points, with the heaviest loads in the center, and the lightest loads on the periphery. The crane can only hold a container so long before dropping it, and this time reduces as the game progresses. When is ship is fully loaded, it sails out to sea, and a new empty ship takes a place in the loading dock.
