Droid Assault (Official Ultra Edition)
Description
Droid Assault (Official Ultra Edition) is a special edition of Droid Assault, released on a cassette-shaped USB flash drive in a tape case containing several extras.
It follows the tradition of Huey Games' first release Hyper Sentinel, also delivered on a cassette-shaped USB flash drive in reminiscence of the old Sinclair media. It is the official "first" game (with Hyper Sentinel being number 0) in a series of several games released on these cassette replica.
The USB flash drive is available in two versions. In contrast to the regular release (called Collectors USB Cassette) this Ultra Edition features:
- A fold out inlay, containing a checklist of all the enemy robots
- An additional sleeve around the case
- A printed cassette (instead of an attached sticker)
The media contains
- A DRM free version of Droid Assault for Linux, Mac and Windows
- Bonus contents (also available in the regular release):
- A digital artwork collection, containing some logo variations for Droid Assault and voxel renders for some of Hewson Consultants' games.
- Game demos of OAOA (Windows only), Silk (Windows only), Terrawurm (Windows only), The Mystery of Woolley Mountain (Windows and Mac) and UTS-187 (Windows only).
- The Hewson Retro Archive, containing articles, advertisements, interviews and any other appearance of Hewson and its games in international print magazines. Also includes several interview videos.
- The soundtrack for Droid Assault and Hyper Sentinel in WAV format
- An extra folder (exclusive to the Ultra Edition) containing
- screenshots and a video of a (cancelled) VR game prototype called Project Companion VR + concept art and videos of the in-development game Wreckout
