DS Rakubiki Jiten is is dictionary for Nintendo DS which is a compilation of Sanseido's "New Global English-Japanese Dictionary" (新グローバル英和辞典), "Daily Concise Japanese-English Dictionary (5th Edition)" (デイリーコンサイス和英辞典 第5版), and "Daily Concise Japanese Language Dictionary (3rd Edition)" (デイリーコンサイス国語辞典 第3版). By using the stylus you can write unknown Japanese word or use in-game keyboard to search for their meaning and explanation in Japanese.

There are various useful tools to help you in learning new words and kanji, as well as some tools one might expect to find in an actual electronic dictionary such as calculator, calendar, alarm, and such. It also interfaces with Pictochat for use of the dictionary during conversations. As a bonus, there are also several recreations of Nintendo's Game & Watch games present, which can be found and played by entering their names into the dictionary. There is also a wireless chat support for up to 16 players.
