Dylan Dog: Storia di Nessuno

Description

Dylan Dog: Storia di Nessuno (The Story of Nobody) concludes the plot started in the previous games of the series: La Regina delle Tenebre and Ritorno al Crepuscolo. Dylan Dog, the nightmare investigator, has to find a medallion that Peter Shelley, Nessuno, has stolen from his wife, Ann, and return it to the rightful owner to prevent some horrible cataclism that threatens both the Earth and the Hell dimension. Nessuno has told him, that the medallion is buried in his own grave, the problem is - Dylan has no idea, where it is, and he has only a handful of days to find out. Asking his old friend, Inspector Bloch, for help, Dylan gets access to Scotland Yard archives, finds the whereabouts of Shelley's grave and digs a medallion out. All that remains is to find Ann Shelley in the village of Cutthroat and return the medallion. But it's not going to be this simple.

Since Storia di Nessuno continues the line of short adventures published by Simulmondo monthly, it plays very similar to its predecessors. Still, this entry introduces some upgrades to the engine. For the first time in the series the game includes some simple inventory puzzles: using a choice menu, similar to dialog choices, Dylan needs to inspect some locations in order to obtain items he needs later to advance the story. The game does not give a player an inventory screen, but it tracks whether Dylan has a necessary item and introduces new menu options or dialog choices in appropriate moments. It is even possible to lock oneself out of the victory if the player forgets to obtain a certain item.

Other than insta-death moments after wrong dialog choices, the game does not present a lot of hazards. There is only one kind of an enemy (a possessed villager). Battles are still as simple (pull back from the enemy attack, push forward to hit).
