Elroy's Costume Closet

Elroy's Costume Closet is an educational game for children aged four and up. It is a dress-up game where children need to mix and match costume pieces to dress up the characters Elroy or Syd. The story explains how a theatre is in trouble because the star actors have not shown up. The audience is already there and is getting impatient. Elroy or Syd need to save the day by playing different characters as they dress up as them. Backstage different lines show costume pieces and attributes to mix and match. Redundant ones can be thrown in a laundry chute. Children are encouraged not to choose random items, but to find combinations. Finding out good combinations is rewarded with animated cut-scenes. A red monitor near the ceiling also shows what the different complete costumes are supposed to look like. The game is fully voiced and aims to train sequencing, cause and effect and fine motor planning. There are 75 animations in total. New costumes can be downloaded online.
