Emperor

Emperor is a 1-player strategy game for multiple systems.

Set in the Roman Empire during the 1st, 3rd, or 4th century, the player must try to protect the empire over 8 turns from barbarians and revolts, while keeping the throne. Each turn, the player can raise legions in Italia at the cost of 2000 denarii. Unneeded legions can be retired for extra money. The player has a number of generals of varying loyalty and ability, who can be moved along with legions to different regions of the Empire. Legions in Italia remain loyal, while a general in charge of more than 3 legions may choose to revolt. The player can spend money on bread and circuses to entertain and keep their people happy.
