Eras Rising
Description
Eras Rising is a tactical battle game set in what appears to be medieval France, but with monsters and mysterious technology. Estienne and his sister Amée travel from town to town in their caravan, fighting monsters, and looking for answers as to why there are suddenly monsters everywhere. More characters will join their party over time.
Battle takes place on a square grid, and is strongly focused on positioning. Characters usually have at least one attack that can reposition enemies, and enemy attacks are shown ahead of time, giving enough time to shove them out of the way, or move them to attack another enemy. There are also exposed wire squares, that damage any unit that steps on them, and portal squares that will summon a new monster, but only if a monster isn't on them. Each character has both a limit on their per-turn moves (called morale) as well as pulling from a global pool. While this global pool starts high, damage to the caravan will reduce this global pool, making it so that not everyone can go all-out.
Between battles, the party will move between locations in the caravan, talking to whoever they find along the way.
