Estimation Activities

Description
Estimation Activities is a series of educational games designed to teach students how to estimate mathematical equations.
It contains five educational games.:* Range Finder: the player receives a mathematical equation, and must move their character into the correct of 4 spaces on a number line. The player tries to answer as many questions as possible in a limited timeframe to maximize score. The player has 3 lives, and loses one for each incorrect answer. Covers addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or mixed operations.
-
Tic-Tac-Toe: played on a 3 x 3 or a 4 x 3 board, with the goal to obtain a straight line. The player must choose two 2-digit numbers from the bottom of the screen that round when added or subtracted to a number on the board to obtain that position.
-
Get in Line: the player receives 5 mathematical equations, and must place 3 in order from smallest to largest, with points awarded for each correct answer. The player tries to answer as many questions in a limited time frame to maximize score. Covers addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or mixed operation
-
Estimation Chompers: the player receives a 4 x 4 grid of mathematical equations, and must chomp all answers above or below a specific number. The player tries to chomp as many questions as possible in a limited time frame to maximize score. Covers addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. The player loses time for incorrect answers.
-
Flip-Out Challenge: the player receives 2 addition problems containing 3 numbers each. The player must flip numbers vertically so that the two equations are correct. The player tries to answer as many questions as possible in a limited time frame to maximize score. Covers addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or mixed operations. The player loses time for incorrect answers.
