Game cover: European War 7: Medieval

Description

European War 7: Medieval is a turn-based strategy game set in the medieval period of history, players take control of several units to take over territory and defeat the enemy. General gameplay is turn-based where on their turn the player can draft units which are used to defend cities and attack other units.

The game has 3 different modes

  • Campaign - The campaign is the game's "story" mode where players play though history in the form of chapters (EG: The fall of the roman Empire, rise of the Byzantium Empire, The war of the roses etc) with each having a certain number of missions to play though (There are also some optional missions in chapters which are in red which don't need to be completed to move to unlock the next chapter. Each mission has a primary objective that needs to be completed to win (EG: Occupy all key areas or hold x key areas for x amount of turns etc).

  • Conquest - Unlocked after clearing chapter 1 in the campaign, Players choose from 8 different scenarios (7 based on real events like the viking raids or the fall of byzantine, and one fantasy conquest that includes many nations from differnt time periods, EG: Western Roman Empire, the mongols, the Arabs etc). There are 2 win conditions, the first one is achieved when the player achieves all of the "Victory Conditions" objectives they get at the beginning of the game which are unique to each country. The second condition is where the player has taken over the game world either by conquering all of the territory on the game map or by forging alliances with the nations that are left

  • Territory - Unlocked after clearing chapter 4 in the campaign, This is the multiplayer mode where the player builds defences for an area which they must defend from other player's attacking the player, the player can also attack other player's areas which is used to obtain gold which is then used to build defenses for the player.
