Everest

Everest is a 1-player strategy game for the TRS-80.

The player is in control of a 10 member team attempting to climb Mount Everest. The player hires Sherpas for $10/day, and must also purchase food and oxygen tanks with limited funds. Each team member can carry 20lb of equipment or food or 4 oxygen tanks. Loads can be carried up 1 camp each day. The goal is to get at least 2 climbers, their oxygen tanks, and 4lb of food each to camp 6. If the weather is good, climbers can reach the summit of Everest. The player's camp can be struck by avalanches, or run out of food or oxygen, and if climbers are killed, the party will mourn for 1 day. There is a total of 30 turns of gameplay to complete the ascent. If the climbers reach the summit, victory is achieved.
