Famicom Jump II: Saikyō no Shichinin

Game cover: Famicom Jump II: Saikyō no Shichinin

Description

Famicom Jump II: Saikyō no Shichinin is a JRPG that was only released in Japan for the Famicom. Just like its predecessor, Famicom Jump: Hero Retsuden, the story takes place in Jump World, a place based on different manga series that were being serialized in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine at the time. Four of the represented manga titles from the previous game are present again here, with other three being new to the sequel.

There are seven playable characters. At the beginning of the game you can choose which character to start with. The selected character influences the path the player will take through the characters' universes, beginning from the chosen character's home universe. Gameplay features typical JRPG elements, like an overworld, random battles, and towns to explore and talk to people. Battles are turn-based, but you can move/control your characters on the battlefield.
