Family Mahjong II: Shanghai e no Michi

Nihon Bussan's second Family Mahjong title for publisher Namco assumes familiarity with riichi mahjong, unlike the first game. Replacing the introductory mahjong lessons for beginners are 2 new game modes on top of the standard 1v1 match mode:

• Globetrotting Quiz Mahjong: A mode where you answer a question by drawing a mahjong hand.
• Mahjong Grand Prix: A tournament mode with some gameplay outside of mahjong matches themselves. You have a money resource to manage in this mode which pays for your travel expense to go to the next tournament location as well as buying/selling items to tip the scale of a match in your favor. This mode will end in a game over if you run out of money to pay to travel to the next location.
