Farao: Het avontuur

The day began promisingly; A camel trek for a visit to the pyramids of Egypt. But at some point, things went downhill quickly... While exploring the underground passages of Amun II's tomb, you lost your footing and had a rough tumble. Now you wake up with a throbbing pain at your forehead, lost in a dark hole. Somehow, you've got to find your way out, preferably alive...

Farao - Het Avontuur is a text-only adventure game in Dutch. You assume the role of an unnamed tourist who got wounded and gone astray in the chambers and tunnels of a creepy pyramid. While you were not equipped for such an ordeal, while exploring your surroundings, several useful items will be discovered and can be collected. By issuing one- or two-word commands, you go about picking up stuff, overcoming obstacles, avoiding traps and solving puzzles. Somewhere nearby lies the ages-old body of the Pharaoh himself (and his treasure) for you to encounter. The parser understands verb-noun commands and simple commands, such as 'kijk' (look) and 'help'. At any time a save and a load command are available, too.
