Final Approach
Description
Final Approach is an add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator versions 5 and 5.1. The purpose of this add-on is to provide the player/pilot with accurate approach plates to any airfield, over seventeen hundred that are supplied and the player can use this product to create their own.
The player starts by opening the flight simulator and lining up their aircraft for a landing, at this point they save their flight as a new Flight Simulator Situation file. Then in Final Approach they select the airfield of their choice , together with the position of their plane (latitude, longitude and altitude), the program then calculates the headings and descent rate the layer must follow to land the plane. These details are then saved, replacing the new situation file the player created in step one so that when the player next accesses that file from within the flight simulator they find themselves about to land at their designated airfield
Naturally there's more to Final Approach than just this, approach plans can be created, edited or deleted; new navigation points can be added; they can be printed, saved and shared. While data can be imported into Microsoft Flight Simulator the printed plans can also be used with subLOGIC's ATP and A320.
