Final Fantasy VII: Remake

Description
Final Fantasy VII: Remake is a role-playing game and the first episode in Square Enix’s multi-part reimagining of the classic 1997 title, Final Fantasy VII. The story revisits Midgar through the eyes of Cloud Strife, a mercenary entangled with the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE as they confront the life-draining Shinra Corporation.
Gameplay builds a hybrid combat system that blends fast-paced, real-time action with strategic elements inspired by the Active Time Battle (ATB) system. Players can switch between party members - including Cloud, Tifa, Barret, and Aerith - and execute special commands, spells, or items once the ATB gauge fills. The classic materia system returns, enabling players to equip magic, summons, support, and stat-boosting orbs into weapons and armor. Combat is enriched with dodge, parry, and environmental interaction mechanics.
The remake includes seamless transitions between exploration and cinematic sequences powered by Unreal Engine 4, bringing Midgar to life with high-fidelity character models, fluid animations, and reactive environments. The materia system is recontextualized to support real-time combat strategy through independent and linked materia configurations. The game also introduces refined pacing through expanded character development, interactive side quests, and modernization touches.
