First Strike

First Strike is a 1-player strategy game for the Commodore 64.

A game of political and strategic warfare, the player acts as the President of the United States, and has complete control over military decisions, as well as domestic and international affairs. The President must choose between the difficult path of stabilizing a nuclear arms race, or wining a full-scale nuclear war.

Played in 3 month turns, the player will serve a 4 year term in office plus an additional term if they win reelection. Reelection is based upon factors including campaign funds and national support.
