Fisherman's Delight: Set Two
Description
Fisherman's Delight: Set 2 is a single player, mouse controlled, shareware fishing simulation.
This is the sequel to Fisherman's Delight: Set 1 and it plays in exactly the same way. This game offers six freshwater and three salt water locations and over twenty species of fish. Each location is populated by different kinds of fish and the fish distribution is random over three different depths. After the player selects a location they then select their rod and line, then their lure after which they begin to fish. Each scene is a still photograph, the only movement is the player's single pixel float, an occasional insect and the odd ripple or minor disturbance indicating where the fish may be lurking.
When a fish takes the lure the player hits the Set/Net button, this must be done quickly because if they take too long and the fish will get away. The player then hits the 'Reel in' button repeatedly until the fish is within netting distance where they must once again hit the Set/Net button quickly or the fish will get away.
Once fishing has begun the player may change their rod, line, and lure but they cannot change location, to do that they must log off and log back in again. The game maintains two catch records, one records the last fifty fish caught, and the second records the best catch for each species of fish.
