Folly Farm's Chicken Run

Folly Farm's Chicken Run is a single screen platform game where a hen has to lay eggs that then have to be collected by a farmer. The player is in control of both the hen and the farmer. The screen consists of five platforms that the hen can walk across and fly between. On the left side of each platform is a nest box and to the right there is a corn tray. The hen automatically lays an egg when moving over the nest box and pecks corn when next to the tray. Pecking corn restores the energy level of the hen to prevent it from starving to death. On each platform is also a hole that a fox can enter from. The fox has to be avoided or it will kill the hen.

On the sides of the screen are two ladders that the farmer climbs up and down. The player doesn't directly control the farmer but can open flaps on the sides of each platform. If the farmer passes a nest box with an egg that has its flap open, he will collect the egg and transport it to the right side where it is dropped into an egg box. The farmer also refills the corn trays from the ladder on the right side but only if the right flap is open. If the farmer doesn't collect an egg quick enough a chick will hatch and start pecking away at the nearest corn tray. The chicks too can get killed by the fox.
