Frog & Spiders

Frog & Spiders is a Space Invaders-variant for one or two alternating players. Frog & Spiders casts the player as a frog who must shoot spiders who slowly crawl down a web. When shot once they can be knocked down by jumping on them, which earns extra points. Shooting spiders twice kills them.

The player needs to watch out for other animals who randomly clutter the screen: A squirrel occasionally pops up in a tree throwing nuts, a snake slowly moves from left or right blocking the player's path, and shooting a hive will have bees attacking the player. Not all animals are hostile, though: Butterflies and dragonflies caught in the spider's web can be protected to earn extra points.

A single screen is cleared when the last spider is shot down. By entering the third level the game gets progressively harder: the frog cannot move freely at the bottom of the screen but must jump on leaves to progress, making avoiding the spiders, bullets and bees harder. The game gives the player three lives and has no continues.
