Fruity Freddy

Fruity Freddy is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

Freddy's job is to pick all the fruit in Mr. Meano's back garden without being killed. The planted seeds grow up into flowers which eventually produce fruit. The player completes a level if they pick all the fruit, but if a piece of fruit becomes too ripe it explodes, spreading four more seeds onto the screen. If Mr. Meano sees the player pick a plant before it bears fruit he will emerge from his house and chase the player.

The player must also avoid the bees which emerge from Mr. Meano's beehive. These can be temporarily warded off by grabbing a can of DDT. The crazy Crimson Caterpillar also crawls across the screen, and the sparrow releases deadly droppings from the top of the screen which must be avoided. The player must complete each level before the bonus score reaches 0. Various bonus candies appear on the screen to be picked up for additional points. The player loses a life if hit by a danger, and starts with three lives.
