Gary Lineker's Football Challenge

Gary Lineker's Football Challenge is a game for one or two players (or two teams) hosted by Gary Lineker and played via the DVD remote.

There are two modes of play and in both there is a 'Gamble With Gary' option where, if a player doesn't know the answer Gary Lineker will offer an opinion. This option must be used with care because Gary may not be correct and each player can use it just once per game.

In the single player game the contestant must answer twenty questions correctly to win the game. They are allowed one incorrect answer, they get a yellow card, but the second wrong answer means a red card and the end of the game.

The multiplayer game is played differently and is intended to mimic a game of football. Players/teams take turns to answer questions, the team doing the answering is termed the team 'in possession'. If a team answers three consecutive questions correctly they get a bonus question and if they get that right then they score a goal, however the subject of the bonus question is decided by their opponents. If any question is answered incorrectly then that side loses possession and the other team has a chance to score. The first team to score three goals wins the match.

All questions are multiple choice with just four options. The game claims over one thousand questions and more than one hundred and thirty video clips from the UK League, FA Cup, Champions League and International matches. Some questions are delivered by the host, Gary Lineker, and for these questions the 'Gamble With Gary' option is disabled.
