Gem Hunter

Gem Hunter is a relatively simple arcade game based on the Atari 2600 title Man Goes Down. The player character is attempting to fall down a seemingly endless vertical shaft in a controlled fashion, while collecting as many gems as possible. The screen continually scrolls vertically. The player character cannot jump, but can walk off a platform and control their descent, and attempt to land on a platform below. If the player character goes offscreen, they die. The platform structures and gem positions in Gem Hunter are randomized with every game providing an element of luck and variety making each game a bit different.
