Ginga Saikutsudan
Description
Ginga Saikutsudan is a 3D action platformer where players control a galactic space mining rabbit. The object of the game is to run and jump along the game's levels, to reach an ore deposit at the end.
The gameplay is reminiscent of Jumping Flash!, in terms of sense of height. The rabbit is capable of jumping very high, and also needs to drop from great heights onto platforms below. However, there is a much greater sense of speed, and no combat. Players have use of four items activated via the face buttons: a speed up time item, a slow down time item, an emergency platform block, and a "lunge backwards" item in case of emergencies. Jumping is via the right trigger, and pushing it a second time will result in a double jump in midair. The camera is controlled with the right analogue stick.
Entire levels can be seen up to the horizon, without any pop-in, and there are several obstacles to contend with such as moving platforms, moving walls, and falling asteroids. It is possible to run along vertical surfaces, or even stand motionless on them, though attempting to jump while on the side or understand of a platform will resulting in players falling to their deaths. Lives are infinite, and "dying" simply restarts you at the level's beginning.
