GLIM
Description
GLIM, or Game Learning Intelligent Machine, plays a game in which the computer and player take turns rotating a dice 90 degrees and summing the new value to their total. The first player to hit 18 points wins the game. The computer starts out playing a fallible strategy, but after each game learns from its mistakes. After a number of plays (depending on the skill of the human player) the computer will start to play a perfect strategy.
The original version of the game was created as a standalone computer using custom displays made from neon lamps. A microcomputer version was later written by the same author.
