Golf-O-Tron

Golf-o-Tron is a golfing simulation featuring notable golf courses such as Pebble Beach, Firestone, Oahu, Winged Foot, Pinehurst 2, Thunderbird and the Dunes. The game uses a 10x10 foot nylon screen on which photographs of the courses are projected. The player stands on a piece of artificial turf and can use actual golf clubs and balls to hit the ball. Sensors in the screen detect where and with what force the ball hits. When the ball hits the screen its further trajectory is shown by a fake ball projected on the photograph. The game advances to another one of the 160 photograph slides taken on each course to continue the golf match from a new position. Statistics about the ball's distance and remaining yardage are also displayed on the screen.
